To the OP: you mentioned being worried in your first post, good call. I don't recommend drag racing with this setup, but if its what makes you happy then don't let anyone stop you.

For the purpose the OP states, a stretch can help control his launch. That I can agree on and we all know I hate stretched bikes lol. I'm just saying a 16" stretch is overkill on a drag bike esp on a 600. Tho I do think a 16" stretch looks stupid on a street (or any for that matter) bike too but hey I dont have to ride it lol.

For the record, I own a stretched bike, so I certainly don't hate them. Just saying that there's no need for a stretch that big.

And clearly this is a drag race related thread, so stretch haters can GTFO.

Ive seen a couple people make chain tensioners with hard skateboard whees that had this same problem on a stretched bike. Not really "pretty", but affective. If your racing I doubt looks are your number one priority. I dont think Ive seen a 16 inch stretch though.. You would be Austin Powers turning around on a resadential road.
