why would you want to turn a 929 into a drag bike? A stock 600rr with pretty much outrun that thing, you WILL get stomped at the track. I know I build drag bikes at my friends shop, we wont touch anything unless its a 1000, and we rarely do Honda. Usually its GSXR-1000, I don't know why but everytime someone on a Honda pulls up to the line it seems like they are always getting the breaks beat off them, and those are 1000rr's

well long story short the bike title never made it over into my wifes name cause when she bought it she just got a bill of sale so we are screwed pretty much on getting it titled and plus it was hit from behind from an older laddy so now its just a project bike sitting around , im not all big shot racer that is trying to go out and make some money im just trying to go out and have some fun you know, i had a gsxr 600 and yea there quick at the track you are right there... thanks for the 2 cents

A 600RR will outrun a 929RR? Only 1000's are a good drag bike? I got a friend on a ZX-9 that would love to disagree. What a joke, stop giving advice.

Have your friend come and race our turbo GSX-R1000, stop being an internet tough guy, truth hurts.

I ran my boys gsxr750 and walked all over him so I'm not seeing how a 929 is not a good race bike?

Internet tough guy? No. Caller of internet bull****? Yes. Much respect for building a turbo bike, but don't go around telling people their 929 is going to be walked by a bike with 300 less CCs. That's just retarded.

I agree with you 100%. Really any crotch rocket would make a good drag bike. Just about all of them can run 10's stock... and Sportrider has taken a 929 to 10.31@134.50 where a GSXR 1000 only goes a few tenths faster.

Ever hear of Bracket racing? It's not always about how fast you are... it's how consistent you are.

I'm 190lbs and don't have a limit on what to spend. I just want to build something I can take to the track with friends and bracket race not looking to build a record breaker just something to have fun on since I can't get it street legal I just figured I'd make a drag bike .
