RE: boots drag
ask mugochap, he was hanus enough to run stock can and rearsets at the track...but i believe his issue was grinding down the stock pegs not the can...
you can get a semi view of what would hit first, but just remember, when you're in a corner, the suspension is compressed...so you have even less lean before you hit stuff... woodcrafts aren't adjustable...they go like 1" back and 1" up or something like that...but if you want gp shift...just switch out your lever for a blackbird or VFR one...and since jaymang as size 12 feet, shouldn't be a problem reaching it... otherwise, cut the sprocket cover. |

ORIGINAL: Tahoe SC woodcrafts aren't adjustable...they go like 1" back and 1" up or something like that...but if you want gp shift...just switch out your lever for a blackbird or VFR one...and since jaymang as size 12 feet, shouldn't be a problem reaching it... otherwise, cut the sprocket cover. PPL: take off your feelers. You'll feel much better about yourself. Besides they're only there for insurance reasons. |
RE: boots drag
Yeah take the peg feelers off... but keep in mind that even with them off you can still scrape the hell out of the stock peg!
I did this at the track this weekend, almost made me wreck! https://img66.imageshack.us/img66/5852/footpegxy8.jpg |
RE: boots drag
yep, the bottom of my stock pegs are a little "crunchy".:D

RE: boots drag
thats freakin scary, looks like rearsets are your only choice then[sm=headbang.gif]

RE: boots drag
Interesting. I didn't scrape pegs but my tire wear is nearly to the edge. Maybe you're bottoming your suspension.

RE: boots drag
OK, you got me by a couple of milimeters. But still check your suspension. The falling feeling you could have had may have been too much lean angle. Try adjusting your pressure. 2-3 psi lower should help.

RE: boots drag
Yeah the suspension is stock AFAIK, and I was running 36/36 I believe on the track. I didn't check actually haha I just went out there and ran. Don't you want stiffer suspension for the track so you don't have as much compression while leaned over, hence giving you more lean angle?
