blown 02 f4i motor!!

Default blown 02 f4i motor!!

I have an 02 f4i that i just blew the motor..i have a spare f4 motor that i want to change into fuel injection..anyone know how exactly what i need to do..

It's going to be a pretty costly thing to change the F4 engine to fuel injection. You'd need the new ECU, the injectors, fuel rail, throttle bodies, all of the wiring....and there are probably some other components that I'm forgetting because I'm pretty tired. Don't you think it would be cheaper to find an engine out of a wrecked bike, or maybe one on eBay? That FI conversion sounds like a pain in the ***!

Sounds like he has everything he needs from his blown motor. ECU, injectors etc...

If it's the same motor, just bolt your old intake to the new motor. It SHOULD work, if the block and heads are identical on the f4 and f4i. Whether they are or not, I'm not sure. But if it's the same, it should be a straight swap.

how did u manage to blow the motor, what mileage is on it?
Thought those engines are pretty much bomb proof..
