Default Bike doesn't even push start!

Alright, apparently my starter is out. that is what the shop told me at least.
So I was able to push start the bike until now. Some motorcycle mechanic I found on craigslist came over and tried to fix it but apparently couldn't fix it. So after he puts everything back together I go to push start it but it won't even push start. what the hell is going on? anybody? I'm pretty upset right now...any help?

According to him, my plugs shouldn't be wet because it is fuel injected. And I can jump start it with the car battery. wtf? Big mistake of me to call this idiot from craigslist in first place i guess.

He tried to put in a new starter but he couldn't because apparently he needed his garage and tools...and this guy calls himself 'mobile motorcycle mechanic'. wtf.

He took off my fairings and tilted my gas tank with some rod. and then he tried to get the starter out but apparently he needs his tools and his garage. so then he put everything back together but won't bump start anymore. This sucks.

If he took the plugs out, did he reconnect them? I assume he checked the fuses? Battery load test? any weird indications on the gauge cluster? strong fuel smell? hydrolocking? Does the fuel pump sound strong when it primes? Headlights dim? does the starter click or does it actually turn the pistons? Does it not make a sound at all?

more info...

Headlightsbright, horn loud. When start button is pushed, there is no response. Just a click. Sometimes when the bike has been sitting awhile it tries to turn over a little bit. I just don't understand why it doesn't even push start when it has push started fine until he took the thing apart.

And no he didn't even take the spark plugs out. all he did was take the fairings off and tell me that he couldn't do it.

problem solved. I took the bike apart, then found the gas tank wire disconnected. This "mechanic" forgot to reconnect the thing after he was done. I should have known the fuel pump wasn't priming when I hit the switch. Thanks everyone for ur input

Alright Blackhawk you found out how to fix it so please share with us what the "Gas tank wire" looks like? My bike currently won't push start and I think I have the same problem that you had. Pics would be great but if you could explain where/how to find it that would be cool too.

He probably means the fuel pump wire (plug). It should connect to a little black plug just to the bottom right of your throttle body assembly. Only one place it can go.....=-)
