Default Do you use "water wetter"

Anyone use "water wetter"? What are your opinions on it? Any downsides to using it?

I use engine ice instead of water wetter becuase engine ice has a freeze gaurd in it where water wetter does not.

only downside is that there is no anti-freeze properties in it, so if u have temps during the winter that go below or near freezing, you'd would either flush that out & put in coolant or engine ice

Engine Ice is slippery, but many trackday organizations allow it; racing organizations generally do not.

I have used Engine Ice and Liquid Performance in my street bike, Water Wetter in the track bike. Like them all.

I use water wetter for track days. Don't really notice the bike runs any cooler than antifreeze.

I've been using Engine Ice since last summer, which the track required. I do notice during the summer that the temps are about five degrees higher. Not really an issue on the street, even here in Florida where it gets hot.

The fuel economy went up from about 42 to 48 for several tanks just after I did this. I don't know if it's related. When the weather cooled, it went back to 42 again.

The best engine coolant is pure straight H2O, PERIOD. Water wetter, anti-freeze (propylene glycol or ethelene glycol), engine ice, et al are all additives to change the properties of the water.

Personally, I use distilled water and water wetter. Why? Because water has a tendency to corrode metal parts and has zero lubricating qualities (WHAT!?!?) AND water wetter is intended to reduce the surface tension of the water to allow it to get into places where pure water may not seep, thereby avoiding hot spots in my engine/cooling system. I also keep my bike indoors, so on days like today (below freezing) I don't have the concern of cracking my aluminum engine block from cold.
