Default Best way to strap down CBR in the back of a pickup?

What's the best way to strap down a CBR in the back of a truck? I don't have a set of those straps that go on the handle bars and don't have anywhere local that sells them. Anybody got any pictures of their bikes strapped down in the back? Don't want the bike to get scratched or fall over. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

I have one of those stands that bolts into the bed from harbor freight and its works awesome. I just strap down the rear on the swing arm. The strand holds it up and the straps are basically there for extra peace of mind.

I just ran ratchet straps from each handle down to the hooks in the corner of my truck bed. Then took a ratchet strap and hooked it to the left pass peg and to the right rear hook on the truck and then the right pass peg to the left rear hook so there wasn't really any way for it to fall over as it was pulling in opposite directions.

I went a little overboard when I did it last. 6 ratchet straps, 3 on each side. 2 wrapped around the swingarm to a tie down. 2 wrapped around the frame near the gas tank to the walls of the bed. And 2 on the uppers to the opposite side tie down. Had my buddy steady her standing straight up, off the kickstand, and tightened everything till she stayed that way

it can be done safely with 3 ratchet straps.

1 from each handlebar (not the grip, but inside the triple top) down to the front bottom corners of the bed.(put a rag in between the plastic and where the strap will touch it to keep it from rubbing paint)\

the other one runs between the two bottom corner points in the back of the bed and runs through the rear wheel. as you go through the wheel wrap it around the tire once and this will keep the bike from sliding back and forth in the back.

I drove my bike 4 hours like this and never once had to readjust.

Just make sure that when you tighten the front rachet straps that it compresses the front shock, Or if you hit a big bump the shocks could compress and the straps come off.

I guess as long as you have a tie point in the middle at the front so you could rachet down both sides of the handle bars then you should be good.
Once they are strapped down they arent moving anywhere.

I'm not really worried about the bike moving. I'm more worried about the weight of the bikes on tailgate causing the tailgate to collapse and have the tailgate and bikes flying on to the road.

Your bike as a whole weighs what, 300 something pounds, I think if the rear wheel resting on the tailgate makes it collapse you've got a much bigger problem on your hands.
