Default Battery removal

I want to remove the battery tomorrow to see how much space is in the battery box. I need just enough space for the back of my license plate bolts (led bolts). soooo..

1. Can I unplug that flat, black pack (ecm?) on top of the battery? What are the consequences?

2. What will reset (if anything) when I unplug the battery?

1. Yeah, you can unplug the black pack (ecu), i've done it before with no consequences so your good

2. The only thing it resets is the clock but that takes like 15 seconds to fix once you hook up the battery again.

Awesome, thank you. I just remembered they gave me a plate mounting bracket so I have to find that, wherever it is...
