Default Battery problems

ok so i bought a new battery 4 months ago and its dead already. checked all my fuses, replaced the regulator/rectifier and the starter and replaced the plugs. finally came to the conclusion i bought a lemon battery. so i take the batter back to the store i got it from and they tell me that the place they got it from will not guarentee it, but inorder to make things right, they will order me a new battery.it seems the plates in the battery are messed up and not allowing the battery to hold a charge. so they ordered me a battery 2 weeks ago, and have not got it in yet. I am PISSED. the bike is my daily commuter and i have to push start it every frickin day. its starting to get monotonous. question is, is can i do damage by push starting it this much? if so, what should i watch and or fix? Thanks in advance. sorry i had to rant.

ps. if anyone needs to know, the best way to push start your bike on flat surface is turn on the key, put it in first, hold in the clutch and run along side it until you get about 8 mph then jump on (be very careful, this is dangerous for you and the bike) and then let out the clutch. i can usually get it started every time this way, but then again i am a professional now buy how many times i have push started it .

Default RE: Battery problems

Bite the bullet esp* if its your daily commuter go to the dealer and buy one.Less hassel. Then take the one you get from the other guy and sell it. I just bought mine at the dealer for $130.00 and I keep it on a battery tender when not in use. I don't like to pop start my bike it will put alot of strain on the transmission. Hope this helps

2nd gear is easier to push start in...
is it bad? not as bad as you think...either you do it or the electric starter does it.
