Battery Charging Amps?
You should look into the 'maintainer' types. They will cycle off, cycle on, and do another electrical trick to keep the battery healthy. I believe a 2 amp steady without cycling off will be somewhat harmful. I would also remove the bike's cables from the battery.
http://www.motorcyclebatteriesusa.co...asp?battery=91 this would do the trick!
I got a black and decker charger last year from wal-mart for like $40 and it works great. It can cycle between 2, 4 and 8 amp charging I believe. It also has auto shutoff and what not. If I remember, it was specifically for bike, atv and boat.
2 amp charger is insufficient info... battery maintainers have specific charging profiles so that the battery stays fresh. constant 2 amps charging will certainly destroy the battery (and possibly stuff around it!). I suppose you mean a lead-acid charger with 2A capacity??? I'd say best to get one of the chargers meant for bike...
Battery Tender or CTEK battery chargers are the best you can leave them hooked up over the winter with no problems ( over charging ) They have a plug you can leave on your battery, you plug it in when you need it.
