Default Banana seat mods

i know the banana seat to split seat mod questions have been beaten to death, which is why i'm not asking about that.

I am considering trying to reupholster my seat, and i am wondering if anyone has ever modified the seat shape at all during this process. I was intending to do the memory foam mod, to make the seat a little more *** friendly, and i am considering making a small shape change to the passenger seat. but while it is all apart, i am thinking about making a pseudo split level seat.

if you feel around where the upholstery goes from driver seat to passenger seat, there is a pretty drastic incline there. you can't see it because of the nature of the upholstery, but its there. i was thinking that with a little creative stitching and maybe a little fiberglass work, you could make the 'naner seat look split.

anyone know anything about this that i don't???

Well if you're going to buy another seat for this, you may as well buy a split seat, then f-up your banana seat, then just install the split seat.

Yeah except he'd have to buy the entire subframe section of an 01-03 to do the split seat, which would be pretty redundant if he just wants to modify the stock banana.

Keep an eye on Ebay, should be able to find a relatively good condition stock seat for around $100, maybe less!

I think I saw on ebay a banna seat cover that was two tone so it didn't look like a banna seat. The bottom was stock color (if you wanted) and then the back half is body color so it looks like a cover.

I'll see if I can find some pictures....
