Default Bad gas mileage...

I know there a ton of gas mileage posts but hear me out..

so I'm getting about 108miles before the reserve light comes on, when the light comes on I fill about 3.2gal... so that works out to about 33.75 mpg.

everything seems to be running fine so I'm not sure what the issue is, I don't drive like a maniac and shift at around 5-6k rpm...

anyone have any suggestions? thanks!

Change your plugs, air filter, and oil, clean and lube your chain and use stock gearing. If that doesn't work check your compression.

I've gotten mileage that low. I've also run 160 miles on a tank. Check your tire pressure, stay tucked under the windscreen, and don't be afraid to rev it more than 6k. Do you ride in the city a lot?

I ride almost exclusively in the city, almost no highway at all, 80% of the time I'm under 60mph

good call with the tire pressure, I think my rear tire might need some air

I've done all that except the plugs, maybe I'll try that next; do you think they could make a big difference mileage wise?

Yep, bump your tire psi to the max listed on the frame, I think its 38f and 42rear.

I get 160 a tank, and I live in the mountains! Twisty riding almost every day for me!

Yes, especially combined with lower tire pressures. Anything over 14k on my plugs and I can feel the difference in engine operation, don't even need gas mileage to confirm they're getting dirty.
