Average temp on the F4I is around 220-225 F. Yours is actually kinda low.

I average probably 185. Most my rides are short. Long hot days I'll get 210 or so.

I agree with everyone else. It seems as though the F4i runs hot. I was riding side by side with a buddy that has an 05 1000RR and he was abot 15 degrees COOLER no matter what. I've seen 224 as a max. I'm in Florida and it gets HOT.

Hope it helps.

for me, cruising the lowest it gets is 174. the fan kicks on at 224. JAY 2002CBR that sounds like yours is running hotter than i would expect.

my buddy has a vfr800 interceptor and those runs REALLY hot (he's had 2). it's a b!tch in traffic if you're crawling because the radiators are on the sides, and the fans actually blow air out, so at low speeds the wind/fan cancel eachother out.

If it's in the 30's, it stays about 165 or so. Lately it's been in the 80's here and it stays about 180-190. While stopped at lights for a while, the fan comes on at 220.

it also depends on how high you're cruisin at. If you like to cruise at 6k rather than 3k - 4k rpms, then it would be much higher. But usually at around 5k i'm at 179. I tend to cruise at a lower rpm if the bike is getting hot and my *** is starting to sweat...

175-180 when I'm cruising at 50+mph and 200-225 when idling or coasting under 10mph.
