Default Average Mileage for a bike

Now I know there are many factors that take place when guessing how much you can get out of a bike. I currently have a 99 600 F4. It has about 21500 on it. What could I expect for mileage. I've seen people get 100k out of these things. Is that rare?

I also had a 99 F4 and had roughly 25k miles on it when i sold it and nothing other than minor problems. Now i upgraded to a 02' F4i with about 6k miles now, looking to get alllooot more miles out of it too.

Unfortunately, many of these bikes never get to the mileage they're capable of, either because of crashes (my track bike only had 3K on it when I bought it under a salvage title) or just plain sitting in a garage. You hear all the time of a 10 year old bike being sold with less than 5K miles on it. Did the guy ever ride it???

Anyway, with preventative maintenance as outlined in the owner's manual, 100K is certainly obtainable. I have around 55K on my 2003 954 and it is as strong as the day I got it.

Ya the guy i bought my f4i from had it for 6 years and only clocked 172 miles on it. I've since made up for that, it had 5872 last week nows its got about 6100 even with the low temps and snow ( in louisiana ) for the past two days...

my f3 had 43k on it when I sold it, and it was good as new. Theres a member around here that had 177k on his f4i, before an accident put it to rest for alil while.
