Default is anyone using a 1/4 or 1/6 throttle

I'm looking at getting an HRC 1/4 or 1/6 throttle turn mod thing? I'm reading and what it seems like is the f4i's already have a 1/4 turn? I'll go check after work but I just want to know how easy it was to rewire the kill switch? From what I'm reading online that whole side will need a new assembly if I do this.

F4i's have a 1/4 turn.

I am pretty sure HRC is a 1/5 turn. There was a lengthy discussion awhile back on another board about it.

I have a home-made 1/5 turn on my F4i. It's the best mod I have ever made to the bike. Another F4i rider (kcult on HSBN) made it up. It's just a plastic shim that goes around the tube on the cable cam. You can go WOT so much easier.

If you go with the HRC setup rewiring the switch housing is pretty easy. I will probably switch to the HRC later on.

If you want to homebrew it, you can shim the cam. Just make sure you have enough slack in the stock cable.

Anyone considering this....... make sure you have excellent throttle control before you try it. I waited until summer to add it so I didn't have to get used to it on cold tires.

Nope, the HRC throttle is a 1/4 turn. Very good mod to do. Just installed mine a few weeks ago.

Dude, the stock throttle is a 1/4 turn.

Kyle Racing lists the HRC throttle as a 1/6 turn.

Ya I looked on my bike yesterday and it does only turn 1/4 of the way. I was like, "damn! when I'm riding this thing it seems like it turns 5 turns before I get WOT!" I have to actually let go and regrip the throttle to get WOT! I think I might try to get the 1/5 or 1/6 maybe someone will come out with one for the f4i this winter where I don't have to replace the switches and everything over there.

All the parts from RS Cycles for the HRC Throttle only comes to about $70. I will probably swtich out this winter. I had to shim the switch housing to make room for my cam shim, so it's not perfect. For what it cost me though IT ROCKS!!

At least if I installe the real HRC part I can put the HRC stickers on my bike, and we all know those add like 20Hp.
