Get low jack.. it's slowly becoming widely available in the US.
I am assuming Lojack has a monthly fee for use? Does anyone know if that is true and how much it would cost?

AFAIK, lo-jack has a one time fee. And I think the one-time fee is around $500.

if you buy it now I strongly suggest getting the SR6 remote as its is shock resistant (you can drop it) and water proof (since it will be on your keys it will get wet if you do). I have the old SR5 remote and it just broke apart so bad after little drops so I'm looking at buying the replacement remote.
I orderedcouple daysago Scorpio-i500SE, but I specifically chosethe old remotebecause, as I understand, the new one comes with rechargeable batteries andaccording to reviews they need to be recharged every day, which looks likepain in the neck...

I too have the Scorpio. The factory harness is a must, and install it yourself. It's a piece of cake, and that way, no one will screw up your wiring! I went with the SR5 remote cause I didn't want rechargable batteries that needed to be recharged weekly, and it was way cheaper ($220 on E-Bay)

It works well, but I have 2 major complaints.

1] The range is no-where near what is advertised

2] The alarm is way too quiet!!! I think the main value of an alarm is to startle the ****** while they are loading your bike into their pickup and perhaps attract some attention to what's going on. They might just bolt rather than have someone jott down their plates! When I accidentally set off my Scorpio (which I do all the time), people around me barely even notice! The Acumen alarm I have on my scooter is so loud it hurts!

Just my 2 cents worth
