Aluminium frame restore...
Hi guys, i was wondering if anyone has any experience with F4i frames...
below the front of the tank where you can see through to the frame my Laquer? paint? Polishing? Coating? has suffered/bubbled a bit through exposure and i need it sorting... only 3"ish each side...
Frstly what coating does the alluminium frame have on it?
Secondly can i touch up that small bit (both sides), maybe putting the spray join where you wont see it?
Am i looking at alot of expense?
pics to follow later
Thanks guys n galls and clear roads to you all

need a picture!!
but see what causes issues is ...one scratch in the coating and humidity...
aluminum oxidizes immidiate after sanding/scratch ect. road salt speeds the process up..
to correct lightly sand with 180-80 grit i stress LIGHTLY!! it is just to knock the loose debri
then use 220 grit by hand or a DA sander to remove the rest and feather out the edges..
use paint for aluminum and do it as soon as possible after you wipe clean/finish sanding ...
sooner you paint the fast you can guarantee adhesion
otherwise the right way to do it would get it powder coated..
that is what i would do ... i am pretty bold on what i attempt... so if you feel unsure at all get it done by someone
