Iridiums already wear out after 16,000 miles, thats absurdly low for plugs. Throw copper's in and your going to reduce the service life. Its the entire reason they use iridium, it conducts electricity good enough for proper spark and last long. Platinum dosen't conduct as well and coppers wear out quicker. If your ok with changing the plugs sooner [I'd think around 10k] then theres nothing wrong with copper plugs.

I guess I have to wait. I hate waiting for anything
Lol you're going to have a fun time installing the new ones.

See, if it actually was less 'healthy' for the engine to run cheaper plugs, I wouldn't. But since it's just swap time, who cares?

I do have a question though, I've taken mine out to check, (as much fun as it was), and I think I'm going to replace them just cause I'm paranoid. :P Is there anything special i need to do to the new ones, or is it just a direct swap?

Another question, slightly less related. How do you clean the bugs out of your radiator? I have like 30 just smushed on there, and want them off. I figure I'll go at my plugs that way this time to just have a reason to take more things apart.

A good power wash will do the trick

What do you mean its hard to do without the tool?

Can't you just lift the gas tank off and just go from there from the top? I would imagine that would be the easiest to change plugs

I bought the Iridium ones. I just had to do it.
I have the gas tank lifted up, airbox off, and the radiator dropped down lol. Id rather take a bit more time taking things out of the way instead of trying to contort my gorilla hands into tiny little openings

I got my plugs in. It was extremely easy. It was really nice to have access from top and the front. The two plugs on the outside were easier to get to from the top and the two middle ones were easier from the front.
Too bad I cant even fire up the bike. Im still waiting for my cctl to come in
