Default Air Filter Comparo

I am looking for data to support facts about stock vs K&N vs any other air filter. Opinions are also good. I have a K&N in mine now and have never noticed a difference from the stock. I bought it because it's reusable and was the same price as stock when I bought it from indysuperbikes.com
Anything will be helpful...thanks

the filter won't do squat, but the sticker that comes with it is good for 10 HP.[sm=alcoholic.gif]

No gains with the K&N other than not having to buy a new filter.

Put too much oil on it and it flows less than stock.

BMC Race filter flows better, but you are allowing more dirt in too.

Sorry, no hard facts for you. For me it's Honda OEM. It's what the bike was designed for and I won't notice the .5 Hp (maybe) gain from a different filter. If I was racing and coming close in my class, MAYBE, but for the street, no thanks.
