Default 99 600 f4 fuel pump doesnt prime

i bought this bike from a kid that i work with, he said when he turns the key on the fuel pump wont prime, but after a couple seconds of turning over it will fire up. It ran fine until he let it sit for the past three months, ill be bringing it to my house tonight to start digging in. Any common problems to start looking for? or any other info on the bike would be helpful, ill start checkin the simple things tonight such as fuses and wiring and cleaning carbs but dont know much about this bike.

It's prob from sitting too long. Try spraying some carb / starter spray into airbox and see if she fires up for a few.

i got the carbs apart now, tested the battery and it was running very low so i have the battery in my car to get recharged after work at autozone, buying some new plugs, new fuel filter and a can of carb and choke cleaner, gunna try it couple times once its together then a shot of starting fluid through the intake it is.
