here's the deal. i've got a few malfunctioning injectors (clogged, stuck...basically whatever the problem they're assed up). my buddy has a set of 929 injectors he'll just give me if they'll work.

so are the 929 injectors compatible with an 01 f4i? if so, is the flow rate the same? i've gotta do something. i'm strapped for cash and i'm only getting about 70 mi. before i hit my reserve light!

I'm guessing they would not be compatible unless you had your ECU remapped.

 

that's what i was thinking. but i tried them anyway since they look identical (except for the spray pattern). but for next person wondering this...without a re-map they will NOT work. it will run, but it's way too rich...worse than my stuck open injector.

 

i dont know your whole predicament with the injector, but when i was going thru flooding problems due to a bad fpr i talked to a honda mechanic who told me a "secret" that only the priviledged know about stuck injectors... he said to get er started & just take off ***** to the wall for as long as you can & that has a tendency to free the injector.

i have no idea your situation, so just offering this to try & help ya, dunno if you can or want to try it. i was willing to do so, but we figured out the fpr was junked so i didn't need to.. good luck

 

Yeh....bigger injector...moar fuel......same air.....sad panda.

Better than lean though right?
