Default 2005 Fuel Pump Replacement Parts

Hey guys-

I've been browsing through here for a couple months reading and have found most everything I needed through the searches. What an incredible amount of knowledge there is here.

Anyway, for my rookie post, after a bit of troubleshooting it is very apparent my fuel pump is completely dead. A new one is already on the way (a simple call to my local Honda Dealer tagged it with a $660 price tag for install and parts- um, no). I also ordered a new FPR and plugs and what not since the tank will be completely off. I've got the service manual but just need a little clarification before I dive in:

First, is the gasket on base of the pump a part I have to get from Honda- or is it a generic seal I can pick up anywhere?

Second, the service manual indicates the need to also replace the small sealing washers at the base of the pump on the banjo bolt- are these also Honda specific parts?

I plan on documenting the replacement as I feel that it would be a worthy first contribution to the forum. Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Both OEM parts can be had at a variety of online parts dealers if you want to go that route. Personally I buy OEM when I have the option, especially when it comes to something that holds gas in the tank.

My favorite dealer is www.hondaparts-direct.com
