I paid $4700 for an 01 with 1700 miles

 

A little on the high side but looks like a sweet bike. I paid $7995 for a new one so don't feel too bad.

 

Nice bike! I paid $3300 for an 01 w/ 16k, love it. Def. invest in some good gear, its the only thing that keeps your hide from the asphalt!

 

Bought a HJC helmet, lightweight Icon leather gloves with knuckle guards, and 6th gear jacket with lots-o-armour. I paid $350 with everything, they gave me 10% off. After wearing the jacket for longer than in the store I think it's to bulky. Feels like I have football shoulder protectors on, LOL! But I feel safe as f*&^. I'm going to look at a joe rocket leather jacket today. I think I'll feel better with more movement, and less bulk. Will be looking for some good boots too.

Was looking online, and will be getting some frame sliders within a week, and the reflective black rim strips. I want to be seen at night better with all the black.

Another question I had for you guys. My bike is going to be outside all the time, any ideas on a good cover for my bike, and cheap alarm or wheel lock. With all the wind recently in my area also, has anybodys bike ever tipped over from wind?

i know this is a old thread ...just wanted to comment ... I just bought one 03 silver /black about 3 months ago for 3k ..all stock 8900 miles .. he wanted 3500 talked him down on the phone to 3200 then when I got there got him down 200 more for a grand total of 3000 even ... had to ride it 75 miles home. This is my third bike and I have to say its a nice ride

 

Paid $2500 (canadian) for mine (with some rash on the left), 18k kms.

 

i paid 4k with 7K on the spedo
clean as hell, and whoever posted it is what ever it is worth to YOU is right in the button, If that is what you want get it. i know i wanted mine for about 5 years and would of probably paid more if i had to.
just be safe and try not to kill ur self or anyobdy else.

Like most have said here that what you think it is worth is what it is worth. I got mine in GA for 5500 in 06 with about the same as you. Definatly go and get the frame sliders since i have a few more scratchs now that i didn't have before. Just remember that they are frame sliders not plastics savers. They protect the frame not the plastics. Good luck and ride safe.
