this guy's fuel pump didn't prime either. turned out to the be ecm. the thread could help give you some clues on what to check for.

im actually getting voltage for it to turn on, it pulses but does no more.
if anything i would imagine its seized up. however the turn indicators not working
has me concerned.
as of right now without checking the bulbs the front left just stays on, and when i signal for a right turn it goes out.
for a left turn it goes off a second and comes back on. im hoping thats not controlled
via the ecu

so i ordered a new fuel pump, but i need to work on the brake lines among a few other things.
like i said the bike has been sitting for 6 years or so, any suggestions? would just adding more fluid be a bad idea?
should i flush it out, disassemble, replace? its pretty straight forward to do a top end but brakes i know nothing about.

so, here's the deal and i dunno what to do now. got the bike running and it ran great.
so i was letting it warm up to see if the radiator fan kicked on, and after a while it started idling rough.
at that point when i reved it it definitely was bogging down and not sounding right at all.
now there is smoke comming from the pipe and its not running 100%.
i pulled the plugs and they all looked the same. any thoughts?
edit: there could be a possibility of too much oil, i topped it off after it was running. and now as a cold engine
it looks borderline maybe a bit over when 90 degrees upright
also i tested the FPR i guess by taking the hose off and it blew fuel once the pump came on.
im so bummed out right now i dont know what to do

Anyone think it could be a stuck exhaust valve? It has been sitting for a long time, and as i stated low compression, perhaps the rings got stuck in the ring land due to carbon, getting hot enough? Its happened to me before on a diff bike. Would a stuck exhaust valve cause lower compression/unburnt fuel leaving the cylinder?
