2001 f4i no spark at all
Hey there is an earlier thread on here and i think the guy was going through the same issues as me. I bought the bike. It wasnt running when I bought it and the guy said it was a fuel issue. Turns out there is no spark at any cylinder. I went through the checklist on the owners manual. The ignition pulse generator was outputting like .03v max and the cam sensor was giving the same. I bought a new IPG and a cam sensor off ebay and replaced them, still no spark. I know the other guy that had this issue got it fixed with the cam sensor. Mine is reading the correct resistance (about 515 ohms) and even my original cam sensor was giving me 500 ohms. The cam sensor WAS purchased used off ebay but the ignition pulser was new. I have the bike completely stripped down. I have heard that you need to have the tank on or it won't start but I dont think not having the tank on would cause those two things to get bad readings. Anyways I have tried with the tank on and stillget nothing. Any help would be appreciated. I do not know if this means anything but there was gas in the oil when I drained it. Again, I have never heard this bike run, I bought it like this so I don't know much about its past life. Thanks in advance

ok the bas is doing what it is supposed to. 12.2v going into it and .4v coming out which is all under spec. I tried bypassing the kill switch. i wasnt sure which wires to cross but i tried both that werent ground and still no spark. I looked inside where the cam sensor gets its voltage and whatever it is that spins up there doesn't spin very fast at all. No idea how fast its supposed to

does fuel pump prime?
had same issue when i transplanted 02 f4i into banshee frame if the fuel pump doesnt come on and prime either its the resistor built into pink wire under ignition switch hondas anti-theft requires that pink wire send a 9 volt signal to ecm or it kills spark and fuel you can buy the resistor at radioshack for .99cents u need a 60 ohm resistor to reduce from 12 volts down to 9 volts on that lil pink wire u can check it by gettin 9 volt battery ground the negative post to bikes frame and positve to pink wire just be sure u have 9 volt hooked up +and- before killswitch and key get turned on or it wont work and u can unhook after bike starts also feel around on pink wire by key for the resistor cause if its blown ur gonna have to wire the 9 volt signal around it to get it to the ecm
