2001 CBR F4i - Won't Start (Fuel Pump Issue?) - Please Help
#21
Hey Guys, sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm having exactly the same problem as the OP. ('O2 F4i) rode her all summer with no probs, then one day went to start and no fuel pump prime. I read through this whole thread, and tried as much as I've had time to. My next step would be to actually get to the fuel pump it's self and check it. One issue where My problem differs: The headlights do NOT come on at all, and the only lights on the indicator are the highbeam, the neutral indicator, and the red light to the left of the neutral. checked all the fuses, and the headlight to main harness connectors all seems well, is there something else I'm missing?

I Hope Mine is Fixed
I tore the whole thing down and checked every electrical connection. Everyone was pointing to the main connection from the harness to the front nose fairing harness. The green ground wire has been an issue on some bikes. If it can be found on the left side behind the fairings where the nose and side meet. If it is burnt just remove the green wire from the connection blocks and reconnect them with a watertight connector. Mine looked fine so I put dielectric grease on it and ALL the other connections on the bike. I them put the thing back together and it runs.

Hi,
I know this is an older thread but wanted to get some feedback on it as i have the same problem as is highlighted in post #2....my headlights are out and the instrument cluster shows both turn signals when ignition is switched on.
I just identified the 'engine stop relay' as the cause of my bike not continuing to run.
