You could follow this how-to and break your calipers down and have them sent out for powder coating. Probably cost you around a $100ish

Welcome to the forum

WHAT ARE CALIPER COVERS?

Hopefully you're not thinking of gluing/bolting/mounting anything to your calipers for a bling factor.

Not sure how they attach but its very common in the auto world to install caliper covers to save money from having to buy new. They work out well an never heard of a problem doing so.

Really would like to have a set chromed but I prefer billet, chroming them for $500 is well just stupid to me. (cost is to much)

Yes powder coated I have thought of but its not the look I am shooting for.
unless there is a way to do a billet or chrome coat.

Thanks
Jo

Saving money from buying a new caliper to avoid the stock look?

Caliper covers are junk that is added to enhance the bling factor.

It's bascially telling people that you want a set of brembo calipers but are too cheap to buy them so you bought a fake set of covers to trick the nieve passer-by.

I would look for some high temp silver or chrome Rustoleum spray can paint and do the calipers yourself. Avoid those caliper covers at all cost.

Seen covers on cars you can not tell they are covers an noway appear to be "cheap look". Perhaps the ones you seen or know of where cheaply made but there are well made ones for auto's. This is what lead me to think maybe they had well made ones for bikes as well but found out not so. There is nothing "BLING" on my bike an will never be any "BLING". only just over half way of redoing this bike an when I am done it will be a very nice looking ride (without "BLING")....

Decided to go with powder coat anyways to get the look I am trying to get. NEVER would I do a cheap home paint job on my calipers... used several brands on auto an they are a joke. Powder coat or chrome them are the only way to make them last.

Here is "BLING" for you an when I am done its going to be clean looking ride
