ok well i got a cowl but I dont have the mounting brackets. Well they sent them and its some goofy looking v bracket. From what I read from other riders is that it should be a strap and a bracket to hold it down to. Please whoever has one can u take a pic of the brackets for this so I can see if they sent me the wrong part or not.

 

well looking and doign a lil research, the v clips are the right ones but this grab strap i keep hearing about, did this come with the kit or is it something thats already on the bike. this is what i need a picture of

 

when i got my cowl for my 04, it came with those two brackets AND the strap. i did have to get two longer bolts because it was too difficult to get them into the clips. but it works great now. Oh, and you might want to get some of that rubber screen door insulation that makes the seal between the door and the frame... placed in the correct areas under the cowl, it prevents rubbing and little scratches in the tail
