I just bought a 03 CBR F4i 600 and I cant get it to start. the bike has 233 miles and sat for a year with gas still in the tank. I drained the gas tank and cleaned it out, i cleaned the build up on the fuel pump. i also checked the plugs and they are fine. when i turn the key on the fuel pump is not starting, the bike will start but not turn over. any help would be great.

p.s. the bike was laid over before it sat for a year but it was not moving, if that has anything to do with it.

 

Sounds like the tip over sensor, i have been reading a lot of tech materials because mine wont run right and thats what everyone says when the fuel pump wont come on. Also its been on its side. I dont know how to reset it, sorry.

i hooked a test light to the bank angle sensor and it had power. but when i hooked the test light to the fuel pump harness there wasnt any power. so it has to be somewhere before the pump and after the BAS.

 

When you turn the key on does the tach jump and the lights on the dash show up? If not then you blew a fuse. Take off your seat and open up the little fuse box by the battery. One of the fuses in there are most likely blown.
