I'm new to CBR's but I'm a brand new owner of a 97 CBR 600 f3 w/ 15k on it and brand new battery. The bike ran fine when i bought it and drove it home, went to start it the next day it ran for about 1 minute and then died with the choke on. tried to restart it, it wouldn't turn over. I took out the spark plugs and cleaned them off and turned over the engine to push out any excess fluid and re-assembled it. she wants to fire but wont and when it does catch its because I'm holding the starter button and once my finger is removed from the starter button she'll die. if anyone with this type of issue before or know if anyone who had this issue before, information would be greatly appreciated.

What you mean to say is: bike turns over but won't start.

Is it filling the carbs?

 

honestly i never owned a carbureted bike before, so I'm unsure even how to check.

 

There is a screw on the bottom of each float bowl. Unscrew it a bit and see if fuel flows out.
