02 won't prime or start...
The bike was starting fine last week. Since then, my friend pulled his fairings and did some work to it. He put on new turn signals and headlights. Now the bike won't even prime.
I told him I would plug all the stock lights back in and see if that helps but it didn't.
Here's what we've done so far.
Checked the fuel cutoff relay and it checks out ok. We also jumped the pump and the pump is good.
Bypassed the bank angle sensor and still no prime.
I'm kinda stumped. The only thing I can think of is maybe the kickstand switch or clutch switch but I don't think those would stop the bike from priming.
Any suggestions?

Any and all safety switches will NOT keep the bike from turning over, except the run/kill switch. You proly have a dead battery, or bad connection to it. When I had this problem, it was cause my engine hydrolocked, which was caused by it falling over and laying on its side all day while I was at work. Its also caused by a bad FPR allowing fuel to fill up the combustion chamber. But I don't think thats your issue. Check (and double check) all your connections, get that battery charged, and toggle the run/kill switch back and forth a few times. Whatever you do DONT jump start it with a RUNNING car. (the car's alternator is too much for our bikes electrical system to handle)

Did it ever occur to you that it's time for a new battery?
Skoobydoobie got it correct sounds like your battery coughed up the ghost. I prolly wouldn't even waste time recharging the battery...if its that low and you didn't buy it in the past couple yrs...save yourself the time and energy and invest in a new battery.
