Default 02 with FI light on

Hey guys I recently bought an 02 cbr f4i and it has an m4 high mount exhaust on it and the FI light is always on. I was looking how to fix this and it seems to me a power commander would fix it. Anyone with more experience that can confirm this. Also if that is the fix can someone give me a link to where I can buy the correct programmer and everything I need to install it.

The power commander won't "fix" anything. They are "tuned" to make the bike run better. You need to "jump" the diagnostic port under the seat and count how many times the FI light blinks. Then go from there. It could be a loose connection on one of the sensors. Do you have a Cali bike? Might need the O2 bypass sensor.

I had that happen to me when I put my K & N air filter on and forgot to hook the wire back up under the tank. take your tank off and see if its hooked up or not. Thats where I would start first.

Yes it is a California bike so maybe I need to look into the bypass

Thats probly the problem. The ECU is looking for the signal from the O2 sensor that probly ain't there. You can either go to an exhaust shop and have a "bung" welded on the mid pipe so you can hook up the sensor, or buy the bypass which costs around 20 bucks. Good luck
