02' F4i cranks, but won't start
So I bought my F4i a couple of weeks ago, ran just fine when I bought it but cosmetically it was awful. The fairings were beat and there were wires just kind of sitting around. So after a couple of weeks of working on it, doing maintenance and cosmetic things (new fairings, new spark plugs, new air filter, oil, and coolant) the bike started up and I ran it for a bit and took it around the neighborhood a few times, until it just straight up died on me. As I shifted up into second gear, I released the clutch and the rolled on the throttle, nothing happened and as I pulled in the clutch, the engine died (the lights were still on). I tried to crank it a few times, but it wouldn't start. Fuel pump was coming on, and you can tell that there's pressure coming out from the exhaust, but that's that. Since then, I've been losing my mind on why it won't start. There's plenty of gas, the fuel pump works, the battery is charged and doesn't seem to be the issue, and the spark plugs are literally brand new. I'm just at a loss for what to check. I checked the codes today, and it threw codes 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 18. If anyone has any suggestions as to what the issue could be, I would greatly appreciate it
Most likely some wiring fault upstream is responsible for all those error codes. Get manual and write down all troubleshooting steps for all those codes. Then find the steps they all have in common to test and measure to find the ONE thing that's wrong. Most likely corroded or broken wire and/or connector.
One quick and easy thing you can do is test for spark. Is there spark at plugs?
