Mine sat in the cold garage up herein Canada for two weeks since I didn't have time to take it out. I had to jumpstart it with my car then brought the battery inside.

If you do, don't have the car engine running. You will fry the electronics on the bike. Just hook up the cables and turn it over.

The f4i I just bought last night wouldnt start and the seller told me that it had been sitting since thanksgiving. Put a batter charger/starter on it and it started right up. It is just the cold and your battery needing a little help.

Compared to cars most motorcycle batteries (and sportbike batteries in particular) are just barely able to handle the electrical requirements.
And the electrical generation system isn't any better.
Take a battery that is not brand new, let it sit for awhile, cold weather makes it worse.... very likely not enough juice to start a fuel injected bike.
You'll find that this is a constant subject of discussion on motorcycle forums when somebody picks up a used bike.
Solution: Get a new battery and then take care of it with a battery tender. Religously, everytime you park it hook up the battery tender unlessyou are damn sure you are going riding again the next day.
