Alright so I've had this issue for quite sometime now and nobody has given me a solid answer on it. I've scoured forums and many others have had my same issue, but never come back to say what it was.

Anyway, my bike:
-01 f4i with 8k on it
-Fpr is about 2 years old
-Cct is about 1 year old.
-Had valves done within this last year (thinking my issue was valves)
- kn filter and yosh pipe.
- power commander 3

So, my bike won't rev or ride over 9k-10k rpms. It gets to that point pretty quick still, but won't go over that unless I let off of the throttle a little. If I let off a little it will start to creep up over 10k rpm. I haven't ridden my bike at all this year because I can't figure it out, any help would be more appreciated than you can imagine. Thank you

 

Disconnect the power commander and see if revs higher, I hardly ever go over 10k riding and have had my f4i over 7years.

 

yea remove the PC3 and let us know what happens.
