Wont go past 9k RPM ????
The bike is running smooth but it wont go past 9k RPM When its in gear, It sputters out and backfires. When its in neutral it runs perfectly fine. Also sometimes it will die when I come to a stop, It even would turn off sometimes when I put it in gear- (Its not doing that anymore tho).
It was running flawlessly. I removed the gas tank to strip and repaint it, I put it back together and now its doing this. When I reinstalled the petcock it was sticking, after I got fuel running it stopped sticking
Any Ideas?
Edit: I, Checked the votage on the battery. Its at 13v when off and goes up to 14v when turned on. When I rev it it will go down slightly but still stay at 14. And It will only bog out in gear, its totally fine in neutral. When I turn it off, it goes back to 13v
According to this trouble shooting chart --> http://www.offwidth.co.uk/bike/gener...lt_finding.pdf .....MY charging system is perfectly fine. It goes above 13.5v @ 2500 rpm and stays below 14.8v @ 5k RPM.

test your side stand switch. find where the three wires connect under the gas tank. when the stand is up there should be continuity between the greenwhite wire and ground. if there is resistance then that could be cutting the power to you ignition. if that doesn't help take the greenwhite wire and ground it, and that will override the side stand switch, but don't leave it that way cause kick stands can affect your left turns.
