Default What's missing?

Hi I'm new to the forum. I Have a 1994 Honda CBR 600 that wont start. It cranks up but wont fire up, and sometimes it backfires. I just had the carbs cleaned and rebuilt and It ran after that but only once and it idled kind of high.. I removed the tank and noticed 3 hoses coming from the carbs that don't connect to anything. Theyre just hanging there. I want to know if this is why it wont fire up, and what are these hoses supposed to be connected to and their purpose. I'm trying to sell the bike but no one will want it if it doesn't run. I also experienced throttle lag and high revs and idles even when the choke was lowered. Thank you

Sounds like a sizeable vacuum/air leak. Make sure your carbs are seated and tightened, check the vac fittings on the inlet runners under the carbs are all good and seated or plugged properly. Those lines are carb vents and depending on models goes to the air or lines to smog stuff.
