What did I do?
Where is the vacum line located? Its a 93
I keep my bike at my moms during the winter and I really dont want to make the drive over there unless I know I can get this done in one trip.
Should I just suck directly on the that hole? I disconnected all the tubes and the tank is just sitting there.
Should I turn the tank so its sitting the correct way when I do this? Currently its on its back.
Also, my mother called me today and said he whole house smells like gas or spray paint. Could this be from the fumes coming out of the tank? Its sitting upside down right now is that okay to do?
Thanks guys.

First, you need to go turn the fuel tank right side up. The fuel will leak out the filler & make a big mess. That is prolly what your mom is smelling. Then charge the battery as you said that you killed it trying to start it. Replace all the spark plugs because they are most likely fouled (NGK-CR9EH9). Take the small hose that goes to the #1 or #2 intake port off & put it on the small nipple of the fuel petcock, put it in your mouth & suck on it unless you have a vacuum pump. If you have a pump hook it to the line & pump it a few times. Either way, when vacuum is applied to the diaphragm fuel should flow. Then check the oil level. It may be overfilled & have fuel in it. If it is overfilled with fuel saturation, change the oil & filter. Should get you going again.
Okay so in order to do this I need to take off the vacuum hose that is connected to the carbs correct? I then need to reapply this hose to the tank, suck on it, reapply the hose to the carbs, and starts up the bike?
Bike starts up? Errrr no your question was how to test if the petcock was messed up or not, so all your doing is checking if it's working correctly. If it flows fuel when you do this then you can rule it out as the problem and look elsewhere.
