Default Valve Clearances - Your thoughts? (results)

Hello,

I've just checked the clearances on my Honda Cbr 600 F2 and my results are shown bellow:

As you can see one of the intake valves are out by 0.01mm and the other is out by 0.02/0.01mm (basically i don't have a 0.12mm gauge and when I checked that particular valve, the 0.13mm would not fit and the next gauge down, 0.11mm did fit). The rest of the clearances are almost bang on the lowest tolerance value.

Basically I'm wondering if I should go ahead and change the shims (and if so which ones) or leave it until its next major service?

The bike currently had 31k miles and I'm not sure when they were last checked.

Kind regards,
Steven

I think the only reason to start changing those shims would be if you have a problem with the engine. If the engine is running fine then those number are ok in my opinion.

Leave them be.i was told by a Honda mechanic to always go on the tight side on both exhaust and intake as they tend to expand when hot anyway.hope that helps
