Using f3 fairings with f2

Default Using f3 fairings with f2
Okay my bike has the f3 fairings on it but with one problems when the tail section is on there is a gap above the taillight and the fairing top! How do I get rid of that?

a pic would help a lot. there were 2 different F3 tail sections, 95-96 was a lil diff than 97-98, plus the F2 tail still worked with the F3 fairings, so we're not 100% sure what you're looking at.
