Default starter bad or just jammed?

just installed my new battery, poured the acid in and charged it for 5 hours 2amp trickle. starter just clicks. odd thing is that it drops 6 volts between +battery and +starter connection which is oddly enough what the battery drops down to when i engage the momentary(starter) switch. Again same as the last battery. I'm going to take this battery to advanced auto today and have them test it, its been on my float charger all night. Two discharged batteries in a row?

well considering my bike is currently a stunt bike and missing a lot of wires and other randoms, my headlight ground was the issue. Your bike is most likely stock so your going to have to make sure all your grounds are set and not freyed
