Default Rear seat jammed!!!

I have an 01 F4i and the rear seat is jammed. When I insert the key it and turn it, it won't release the seat. Something must have been disconnected or is broken. How would I go about fixing this? Do i have to remove the fender eliminator altogether? Not a big problem as I can really only fit my wallet and cellphone but it would be nice to strap my helmet underneath rather than carrying it everywhere i go.

to get it open, some people have removed the seat(drivers), and used a coathanger to
fish around until they found the cable then pull it to release the lever.

be careful about strapping your helmet to the helment lock, I get paranoid about it. people have been know to steal them, even cut the strap.
dont know what good a helmet is without a strap, but it has happend.

quick thing to try is to pull the seat towards the grab bars sometimes they are just sticky. I had the same issue and fiddled with it for hours b4 it came off. now its a snap...

Yup good idea with the coat hanger

And yeah I've heard of that too....people will just cut the strap of your helmet to steal it.....like krash said...it doesn't make any sense to steal a helmet (now) without a strap, but I guess most criminals are idiots anyways

i dont think they are stealking it for the use of the helmet but just to take it for the hell of it. Thats with anything everything is worth something to someone it just has a cheaper value.
