Shifter Shaft jammed
hey guys,
I just replaces my shifter peg, and shaft, for some odd reason the bike wont shift past netueral, is their a speical way the shaft has to be installed? or is their some sort of position it has to be in? just on a side note, the bike was downed on the shifter and that is the reasoning for replacement, could the transmission be siezed? or something worse?

RE: Shifter Shaft jammed
Don't know about the shaft, but I once put a new shifter peg on my KTM and found when I went to shift up to second, I got neutral and that was it. After looking it over the shifter was slide in just a tad to far. The casting was larger than the original and was squared off and would bind with the engine housing. I filed down the shifter's sharp corner to allow for clearance and it was all good.
