Hi!

I am about to mount an Acewell 2853 to which I bought a converter that lets me use the regular speedo cable and convert it into a digital signal. That way I don't have to use some kind of Hall sensor.

See JNSRacing's build blog for Koso RX-2 installation. As Migge said already, the biggest problem is that the original f2 speedo is mechanical so to fit a digital gauge you either need to do what Migge did and buy a "digitizer" that mounts to the end of your speedo cable or fit a magnetic sensor and a magnet to the rim. The most cost effective way is to buy a bicycle speedo and mount that however those rarely go over 100km/h. The rule of thumb is the less you pay the shorter life expectancy it has. Avoid cheap ebay china crap. Depending on where do you live, try looking for Koso, Trailtech etc.

I second that China crap. Before the Acewell I used a cheap China speedo (mechanical) with no adjustment options which meant that it showed 120 km/h when I was actually riding 80 km/h. And I bought the one meant for our wheel size too, it was just crap.

I havent used it, but I plan to. It has great reviews and doesn't break the bank.

Your dummy lights wire right up to it, speed is off one a sensor they provide (almost every aftermarket speedo does that), and RPM is taken off the coil.i don't know if they sell or make a fuel gauge sensor, so I don't think that part will work.

Conrice hasn't been active for a long time so he's not likely to reply.
