Default Rod knock....possible replacement

Hey guys,
im new to the forum and was hoping to get some feedback on my 600 f2, 1994 model.
the bike is still riding well and pulling strong but there is a knock that im becoming more concerned about.
i did the cct with an APE replacement. All good on that front.
but the knock is still there. Im hoping its not a rob bearing as obviously is a big job.
does anyone have experience with rod bearing replacement and symtoms.
the knock im experiencing is quiet but more noticable when the bike is warm.
any feedback would be great.
thank you

First make sure the APE tensioner is adjusted correctly. If they are too loose, you will get a knock/rattle.

Second, it is possible it's coming from the clutch basket.
Does it knock when you are moving in first gear just above idle?
If not, it's probably the basket being worn. You'll hear that at idle. May change a bit as you clutch in-out.
Mine does this. Took me a while to figure out.

It's unlikely a rod or rod bearing. That kind of failure is extremely rare on these engines.
I wouldn't go tearing the engine apart too soon.
Keep your eye on it. Worry about it if it gets worse or louder.

Also just give the entire engine the once over.
Just to make sure it isn't something else that is loose or rattling or obvious.
Leaking exhaust headers can sound like knocking too somethings.
