Default rear shock adjustment?

so on my swing arm it has a picture saying turn left for soft and turn right for stiff. does this mean my shock is adjustable? havent found anything for the adjustment of factory rear shock.

Information on this is REALLY scarce. Sorry bud! It is adjustable, you need a special tool that looks like a hook to adjust it in increments. Basically what I've been told is that there is a way to adjust for SAG (see the DVD for twist of the wrist 2, it has a special section on this), but for most street riders the best way to go about it is to simply try making it stiffer or softer as you feel nescessary, and tinker with it perioidically.

In my case the rear end was WAY too stiff. I had to stand up for even small to minor bumps, and the stiffness made it so as I was numb to the feeling of my tires, as every little bump sent me bouncing in my seat. I loosened it up two settings, and viola it rides like a dream!

Best of luck!

If you look at the owners manual, it describes how to adjust the compression, rebound and preload on the rear shock.

The Preload is the collar on the lower part of the shock (Spring perch) and is adjusted with the spanner pin wrench in the tool kit.

The rebound is adjusted with a flat blade screw driver through the hole the right hand side of the swing arm.

The compression is adjusted with a flat blade screwdriver at the top of the remote shock resevoir.

The haynes manual also describes adjusting the suspension and how to get it to factory settings as a starting point.

Thoes adjustments are only for the 94 shock on the f2. Everything prior only had preload.
