Default Rear shock

Dang, I think my rear shock is fried. I've been getting a lot of wallow from the rear lately. So I though, I'll just dial up the suspension a bit. Problem is the screw is already turned all the way in. DOH.

Question is what to I do. Could get another stock shock, but no guarantee it's any better. They are all 20 year old at this point. Aftermarket are getting harder to find and most are setup stiffer for racing. That's a lot of futzing around to get it to work for me. Does racetech still rebuild stock shocks? Any newer shocks work without lots of modifications?

Do you have the 94 shock with the remote reservoir? Its the better of the stock F2 shocks. If not you could get one from ebay pretty cheap. Then call Jamie at Daugherty Suspension and see if he could rebuild it. He rebuilt one of my Fox shocks for about $150. I dont know what all he had to do to it and he also put on a new spring for my weight. I love the Fox. It has compression. rebound, preload, and ride height adjustments.

Yeah, it's a 94 with remote. I'm actually on my second one at this point. It didn't last as long as the original. And I could certainly go with another 94 shock off ebay, but they are all old at this point.

I was going to get a set of forks internals for my XX from Daugherty. Heard good things about them. So that's a good suggestion to check out.

Rebuilding a stock one would be just fine for me. Don't need it resprung or anything. Just need something that isn't completely worn out.
