Default Plugless alternator wires??

I got my bike as a project, it runs around the block now and I'm insanely proud. However I have been running off battery alone no charging system. I know where the alternator wires should go, the wire harness side has a plug attached. The engine side however has three bare wires. They are all yellow, with no distinct markings, the wire harness side is also yellow, just with identical brown spots on the wires. Does this mean that it does not matter which wire goes to which? I'm confused, and if they must go to specific wire in the plug, how can I determine which goes where?

Doesnt matter how you hook the 3 yellow wires up.

Lol Yeah definatly dont want that. I would test your stator just to make sure its not bad before i connected anything. Download or get a service manual and it will give yous tep by step to test everything.

I had the service manual, its just that the alternator wire drawing made absolutely no sense. I hadn't thought of that, but that is a great idea considering I am "borrowing" my dirt bike battery to try and make it run, it would be a shame it kill two bikes with one.
