Looks good so far dude, I have a fighter as well, got some real good advice here and on customfighters. If you haven't already, you should run the float bowl vents to the underside of the airbox facing forward with a 45degree slash cut, Mustapha dump explained real well over on customfighters why this is necessary without fairings. When I first did it to mine it made a HUGE difference in how well it ran. Same goes for the heat shield below the intake snorkels. Running without that made it run real lean uptop. Thanks to squale147 on here for pointing me in that direction

Man I have been so impressed by this forum. I haven't seen any of that bickering and name calling that's usually common place in forums. This is nice. I'm on it literally everyday now. Dude, thank you for your advice and the link. I'll get on that today! Is it a pretty easy fix? Do you think you could show some pic? And definitely point me in the direction of some of your bike pic.

I've been very impressed by the people on this site also, everyones real polite and helpful. I don't have any good pics of how I did it, but it's real easy to do, just make sure the drill bit is slightly smaller then the hoses so they squeeze tightly in there. Also make sure they protrude at least like 1-1/2" into the box and face forward with the slash cuts. Here are some older pics of my hood looking street rat bike lol:

How it looked when I first got it

Basically how it looks now

Don't know if you saw the dent in the tank n the second pic/the chewed up frame slider...wear your gear and get frame sliders if you don't have them already LOL. I learned the hard way that jeans do nothing when you're sliding. I picked up some leather pants for higher speed rides

Edit: sorry for the late reply, haven't had much free time n recent days

So I'm getting a little closer. Except, now It seems to be losing acceleration. It will hiccup and even with a wide open throttle, it still slowly speeds up. Any thoughts? Carbs? Air Flow? Fuel Delivery? Spark Plugs?

Next steps are to buy a new tire and switch rims to match the rear and to install my digital speedometer that should be here in a few days.

It's lookin' good Jones, now on the running issues, give us a little more detail - are you saying there is a stutter during wide open throttle? If so, in what RPM? Is this stutter consistantly present in a specific RPM range, at WOT?

Thanks a lot brother. I don't have the gauges on t right now (Digital speedo being devilered tomorrow) so I take say exactly where in the RPM she starter to sputter, but I can speculate and say around the 3,000-4,500 range. Pretty low. It's weird, bc the engine seems to sounds the same even at the WOT, but it feels like a TTR 225 dirtbike. Engine Revs, but doesn't seem to produce? In laymen's terms, it has lost its get up and go.
