Default How to get at spark plugs?!?!

If anyone read up on me in my intro i just bought an f2...I am pretty mechanically inclined, I rebuilt the car thats in my pictures on here...I cannot, CANNOT get at those damn spark plugs...Can anyone please tell me what the easiest way is? The closest I got is when the tank is off bending back the rubber in front of what I believe would be the coils, and I could only get at like one from there...My bike is down until I get this figured out, Ive read the manual and cant find anything in there about it. Someone please help me!!!

You've rebuilt a car all the way and never used a universal joint to get at funky angles? You gotta get some and try them, they make such jobs a breeze!

Anyways, you can also remove the airbox all the way for some additional accessibility, but again, a UV joint is highly desirable.

Im not dumb enough to have not tried that...Thats not the point though, I cant possibly get to the other three spark plugs with just pulling that rubber down, and I did have the airbox completely removed

Attack it from the side, not the top.

Drop your deep socket down the hole, then drop the extension, then snap your wrench onto the extension all one piece at a time.

Ok, one more questions, so you guys loosened your coils and pulled that rubber piece back? or did you go from the side like sandman said? If so do I have to take off the fairings on both sides?

The easiest way, for me anyways, is take off both of your side fairings get the correct size spark plug socket, and an extension.

Put the extension on the correct size spark plug socket and then take that and from the side turn it sideways and then put it down into the spark plug hole. Then put your socket wrench on the end of the extension. You cant get the socket in there with it on the wrench.

You should be able to remove spark plugs on cyl 1 and 2 from the left side and spark plugs on cyl 3 and 4 on the right.
